AMBIENCE - Charm and Quaintness abound! SHOPPING - many fine shops are to be found in downtown Leland (walking distance from both cottages but just far enough away for privacy). Don't forget about the nearby towns of Glen Arbor, Suttons Bay and Northport as well. And Traverse City is within a half hour. GOLF - Many fine courses are located nearby including The Kings Challenge, Leelanau Club, Sugar Loaf, The Homestead and Veronica Valley. Additional courses like The Bear and The Resort can be found near Traverse City as well. BOAT RENTALS, KAYAKS, FISHING EXCURSIONS are available daily in downtown Leland. HIKING, NATURE TRAILS and other outdoor activities are limitless in this beautiful area of northern Michigan. The Leelanau Conservancy prides itself on offering a variety of programs and hikes throughout the summer months, or you can go off by yourself to enjoy the trails on Whaleback or Pyramid Point, just to mention a few. BEACHES AND SUNSETS - there are three Lake Michigan access beaches within three blocks of the cottage. The cottage is located on an access road to the Lake. There are also beaches on Lake Leelanau just a short drive away. Sunsets are phenomenal, need we say more!
